Join the conversation on legal issues that affect international human rights. Strengthen or share your expertise with like-minded professionals, and benefit from the opportunity to expand your professional network. CLAIHR members and supporters include international human rights lawyers, criminal lawyers, civil litigators, law professors, non-legal professionals and students.

The annual membership is $50.00 for regular members, and $25.00 for students.

Thank you for choosing to be a part of Canadian Lawyers for International Human Rights (CLAIHR). Your decision to become a member of CLAIHR provides immediate support to a network of dedicated professionals who share a vision for promotion of international human rights in Canada and around the world.

Refund, privacy and delivery policies

Tax receipts will be issued for donations only.

Refunds: No refunds are available for purchase of membership or merchandise. Exchanges are available for merchandise upon request.

Privacy: Your privacy is important to us. Your personal information is for the use of CLAIHR only in communicating with you and will not be rented or sold.

Delivery: If applicable, merchandise will be shipped by (surface) mail to the address provided by you. Shipping costs for exchanges of merchandise will be to the account of the purchaser to return the merchandise to CLAIHR for the exchange.

Volunteer

In addition to supporting CLAIHR’s work as a member, we welcome volunteers. CLAIHR lawyer and non-lawyer volunteers:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis;
  • Contribute to CLAIHR’s blog and social media presence;
  • Serve as pro bono counsel when CLAIHR seeks to act as a Friend of the Court;
  • Assist our law student volunteers and student chapters;
  • Plan and run continuing professional development and social events;
  • Craft CLAIHR education materials; and
  • Support CLAIHR’s fundraising initiatives.
