The University of Ottawa hosts an annual Global Generations Conference on Student Perspectives on International Human Rights. The Global Generations Conference provides the opportunity for students to present on various timely international human rights issues. It also provides an opportunity for law students to share their research with their fellow colleagues and various members of academia, as well as to gain experience in public speaking.

Every November, the Chapter also holds a trivia fundraiser called “Quiz Night.” Approximately 100 students and legal professionals attend the event, including professors, public and private sector lawyers from Ottawa and Toronto, and Supreme Court of Canada clerks. Teams compete against each other by answering non-legal related trivia questions for amazing prizes. Quiz Night is the perfect way to raise awareness for human rights issues while having loads of fun.
