The U of A Chapter of CLAIHR is composed of five first year law students. The Chapter is in it’s first year of existence with plans to promote international human rights issues through the University of Alberta student body and wider Edmonton community. This will be achieved by fostering a continued dialogue with the community at large, through holding fundraising events, hosting scholars and advocates to speak on topical human rights issues and documentary showings. In addition, it is our goal to develop an active, online presence to maintain and promote human rights in an interactive means, engaging a wide audience promoting the education of international human rights.
